The “Annals of the University ‘Constantin Brâncuși’ of Târgu-Jiu, Education Sciences Series” is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. To maintain the integrity of the scholarly record and ensure the publication of high-quality, original research, the journal follows strict ethical guidelines for all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
Duties of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and properly cite any sources or ideas taken from others. Submitting plagiarized content or presenting the work of others as one’s own is strictly prohibited.
Authorship Criteria: All authors listed in the manuscript must have significantly contributed to the research and agree with its submission. Any change to the list of authors (addition, deletion, or rearrangement) must be approved by all co-authors and communicated to the editorial team.
Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of others’ work and sources of funding is required. Any content taken from other works must be accurately cited, and authors should recognize contributions made by others to their research.
Conflict of Interest and Disclosure: Authors are required to disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research, interpretation of results, or submission. Any potential conflict of interest must be clearly stated.
Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide raw data in connection with their manuscript for editorial review. They should be prepared to make such data publicly available if necessary and retain it for a reasonable time after publication.
Corrections and Retractions: If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
Duties of Reviewers
Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. They should not share or discuss the content with others, except as authorized by the editor.
Objectivity and Constructive Feedback: Reviews should be conducted objectively, with constructive feedback provided to improve the manuscript. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate, and reviewers should evaluate the work solely on its scholarly merits.
Acknowledgment of Sources and Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers should identify any relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and point out any substantial similarity to other papers they are aware of. Reviewers must also disclose any potential conflicts of interest before agreeing to review a manuscript.
Duties of Editors
Fair and Objective Decision-Making: Editors are responsible for making fair, unbiased decisions on the publication of submitted manuscripts based on the journal’s policies, reviewers’ recommendations, and the paper’s importance and clarity. They are required to consider manuscripts without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or other editorial staff involved in the review process.
Conflict of Interest and Ethical Standards: Editors must not use unpublished materials from a submitted manuscript in their own research without written consent from the authors. They should also withdraw from handling manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions connected to the papers.
